I Spy a Spy With My Little Eye

Yesterday, a man named Stewart David Nozette was arrested because of an accusation made by the U.S. that he was spying for Israel. Nozette has worked his way up to the top, allowing him to access classified information dealing with U.S. defense. An FBI agent posed as an Israeli intelligence officer and met with Nozette. It was said by the agent that Nozette was more than willing to help out this "Israeli intelligence officer." Channing D. Phillips, defense attorney to the District of Columbia, says,

This case reflects our firm resolve to hold accountable any individual who betrays the public trust by compromising our national security for his or her own personal gain.

This incident could have a really negative impact on how secure Americans feel in their own country. if someone can give control of the U.S.'s defense to another country that it's having problems with, no one would feel safe.
