This Cold War video shows a factory worker, Joe, who is upset that every time he gets a raise, prices increase on consumer goods. The narrator of the short film explains that increase in productivity will help decrease the cost of goods. So, Joe has a brilliant idea of the assembly line that increases his wages and decreases the cost of the items he would like the to buy.
Labor and management must continue to increase the production of better goods at lower prices so that more people will be able to buy the things that make life easier and happier for all of us.
Propaganda is very strong in the U.S., especially in this video because it motivates workers to use the maximum resources they can use to produce more goods. The abundant goods are sold at lower prices because they are plenty to buy and sell. This, in turn stimulates the economy.
