The new iPad is finally out! Yet another product has excited and concerned many people. Although the iPad can can do a variety of things from storing your pictures to watching movies, there are worried that the starting price might ask for a mere $499, but the costs of upgrades might not make the iPad worth all the costs. Brett Arends, a writer for the Wall Street Journal, has come up with a few items that he is concerned about with the new iPad,
• Look out: The iPad may cost you around $1,000 after all.
• Don't assume it will mean that much for your Apple shares.
• Yes, it's a challenge for Amazon.com.
• The real winners from the iPad—and the mobile Internet boom it represents—ought to be the cellular carriers.
I would love to have an all powerful computer/iPod/GPS/organizer that I'm able to carry around, but I can live without the latest technology that Apple has entered into the market. I'll stick to my iPod, cell phone, and my house computer.
